Wang Xin (Born in Beijing, 1957)

Wang Xin studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts Between 1978 and 1982 with classmates Yan Feiyun, Wang Yidong and Chao Ge. He lectured in the architecture department at Qinghua University from 1982 to 1984. In addition to figure painting, he is also skillful at landscapes. His paintings convey a sentimental melancholy feeling, revealing the influence of the pre-Raphaelite Artist, Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Wang Xin has participated in many important Exhibitions within and outside China. His paintings also hang in the gallery of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Currently Wang Xin teaches at the Academy of Chinese Drama in Beijing.
